for Your Family
Many of us are rethinking summer plans with rising gas prices, we're reducing trips and weekend getaways this summer. We understand your need to cut down your gas usage, but before you give up on your health or your family's healthy activities...contact Membership Services. We'll see if we can find a solution to help you. We might suggest changing your class schedule to combine trips. We also have ideas for family fun that don't call for a lot of long-distance gas. Check out the events below, starting this week, right here in Sheboygan County!
Wednesday Family Nights at Camp Y-Koda
June 25 - August 20, 2008
Can't getaway for a vacation-break this summer? Take a mid-week break at Camp Y-Koda every Wednesday night beginning on June 25. Discover a great way to spend time outdoors with your family on a summer night. The camp pool will be open for recreational swimming. Pack a picnic lunch or cook out at a camp site, hike and enjoy the beautiful camp setting. For questions on inclement weather, please call camp at 467-6882 or the YMCA at 451-8000 after 4:00pm each Wednesday. For questions on admissions for family and friends, call Member Services or Kara Schuh at 451-8000. Camp is located on Sunset Road just off Highway 23, two miles.
This is it! A corps of hard-working volunteers and staff have been organizing this event for more than a year. It will bring gymnastics participants (hundreds) and vistors (thousands) to Sheboygan County for the best YMCA Championships ever. Tickets are available at the Sheboygan YMCA for Opening Ceremonies to see Olympic Gymnast, Chellsie Memmel, daily competition admission or admission to Closing Ceremonies with Jason Wilde (Wisconsin sportswriter) and his fiance Paula Amel (former Springers team participant).
