Spring Break Day Camp

March 25-29, 2019

Ages 4-12
Spring is in the air and it's time to bring on the fun! Our Spring Break Camp gives children a place to spend time with friends and have fun. Why spend the entire day indoors when you can run around in the fresh air partaking in classic camp activities, while participating in our special dress-up days at camp! See below for what the theme is each day and don't forget your attire. We promise your kids will return home safe and very tired. Extended care and bussing are available at the Sheboygan YMCA and Sheboygan Falls YMCA. The fee per day is $5.00 for extended care. Bussing is included.

Spring Sleepover

April 12th-13th, 2019

Ages 6-12
Spring at camp is simply amazing! Celebrate the season with a sleepover at camp. On Friday evening, we will have dinner and a night activity, followed by s'mores around the campfire. On Saturday, we will welcome spring with classic camp activities. This sleepover is for both those returning campers who just can't wait until summer to see their friends and those coming for the first time who want a glimpse of what our summer camp has to offer. All meals, snacks and beverages are provided. Please bring a sleeping bag, pillow, pajamas, toiletries and a change of clothing for the next day. Please make sure your child has adequate clothing to spend a lot of time outdoors.

Girls & Dolls Ice Cream Social

All Ages with Parent
Camp is celebrating our 23rd Annual Ice Cream Social with a "Bunny Hop!" Come join us for this wonderful event that includes an ice cream bar and lots of fun for girls and their moms, aunts and grandmas. The social will be held in the Johnsonville Lodge at Camp Y-Koda. This ice cream social includes a girl and doll "Easter Best" fashion show and bunny hop, doll and doll clothes raffle and egg hunt. Dress yourself and doll in your Easter best and experience a fun afternoon! Fee is per person.

Earth Day Action

All Ages
We are inviting you to take action and put one of our core values - responsibility - to work on Earth Day! We invite you and your family, team, troop, corporation or church to come out and participate in a small project that will make a monumental impact on the environment. Projects may include filling bird feeders, invasive species eradiction, litter collection and tree planting. Let's get outside and start protecting our environment this Earth Day to help create a healthy, more sustainable future. This event is free, donations welcome.

Master Naturalist Bus Trip - Schlitz Audobon Center & Monches Farm

Bus departs from Maywood at 8:00am and returns to Maywood at approximately 4:30pm

This tour is best for adults ages 18 and older. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult. 

Join us for a fun-filled day of nature without driving! First we venture to beautiful Schlitz Audubon Nature Center in Milwaukee. There we will enjoy a guided 1.5 mile nature walk, meet WindChill McCloud (snowy owl) and Cutright (Peregrine Falcon), and learn about gardening for pollinators. Bring a bag lunch to enjoy at the center. Then it's off to onches Farm in Colgate. This award-winning garden center features over 2,000 varieties of hardy field grown perennials, herbs, unusual annuals, tropicals and vegetables along with a gift shop. We will tour the center and have time to purchase plants and gifts. An ice cream stop will be made on the return to Maywood. Pre-Registration is required. Summer Camp Volunteer Work Day

Summer is almost here and we have a great opportunity for you to make a difference in the lives of our summer campers! Come to Camp Y-Koda to help us get ready for the summer season. We have projects in all areas of camp such as clearing trails, repainting equipment, filling first aid kits and other important projects. Bring the kids along to help partake in the fun projects and meet new friends before summer camp begins! This event will be held rain or shine.

Free Fishing and Outdoor Activity Day

All Ages, Youth and Family Event
Visit River Park in Sheboygan Falls for the 24th Annual Free Fishing and Outdoor Activity Day sponsored by Camp Y-Koda and the Sheboygan County Conservation Association. This community event is from 9:00am - 3:00pm. Activities include free fishing with poles and bait provided, canoeing, archery, petting zoo, bb gun, face painting and more. The lagoon will be stocked with fish and prizes are available for kids who catch tagged fish. Free fish cleaning is also provided. Brats, hamburgers and refreshments will be available at the concession stand.

Summer Campfire Pancake Brunch

You are invited to visit Camp Y-Koda for an all you can eat campfire pancake brunch! The pancake brunch includes an endless amount of tasty pancakes and refreshments, while making new friends around the fire before summer camp begins. This is a great taste to see what our summer camp program has to offer by touring the grounds and meeting our enthusiastic staff. It is also a perfect opportunity to pick up a summer camp brochure and ask any questions you may have for our camp directors. Bring a friend and come see what Camp Y-Koda has to offer! Camp will accept walk-ins the day of the event.

Master Naturalist Volunteer Training

Tuesdays and Thursdays, August 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, and 22; 8:30am-5:30pm

Ages 18 & Older

Camp Y-Koda will host a Wisconsin Master Naturalist Volunteer training on Tuesday and Thursdays in August. Participants will visit the Ice Age Center with Naturalist Jackie Scharfenberg, and Maywood Environmental Park in Sheboygan with Executive Director and Naturalist David Kuckuk, as well as visiting many other natural areas in and around Sheboygan County with retired wildlife biologist Steve Klock and Dale Katsma and Environmental Educator Sarah Dezwarte. The training will emphasis on the Sheboygan River and include citizen scienve opportunities and a canoe trip on the river. The majority of the day will be spent in the field learning about local resources. 

The Wisconsin Master Naturalist Program is a network of well-informed citizens dedicated to conservation education and service within Wisconsin communities. The Master Naturalist Volunteer Training provides 40 hours of coursework in natural history, interpretation, and conservation stewardship. Trainings combine classroom instruction with field experiences and are taught by professional natural resources educators and scientists. Once trained, Wisconsin Master Naturalist Volunteers provide 40 hours of service and take 8 hours of advanced training each year to maintain their certification and receive a recognitioin pin.

Fee: $275.00, includes all class materials and a one-year membership with the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin. Lunch is not included, therefore all participants must bring their own lunch.
