Adult Specialty Fitness Programs & Services
Age 15 & Older
There must be a minimum of four people registered in each class. You may join classes at any time during the session, based on availability. Classes are held in the Vollrath Aerobic Room at the Sheboygan YMCA or the Brotz Multi-Purpose Room at the Sheboygan Falls YMCA unless otherwise noted.

Spinning® is a cardiovascular workout performed to music on a fixed gear bike. A certified instructor leads the class through a variety of energy zones including recovery, endurance, strength intervals and race day.

Spinning® welcomes participants of all fitness levels. Riders with a history of health problems should consult a physician. You must bring a water bottle to class. Heart rate monitors and bike shorts are also recommended.

Members only may register and pay for one class and drop in to as many Spinning® classes a week as they’d like. Registration is based on availability and is on a week to week basis. Members only may register for a second class and receive a 15% discount.

If you’re not sure what Spinning® is all about, this class is for you. Join our instructor for one free 30-minute orientation. Please register by the Friday before class.

Outdoor Ride
Sheboygan Falls YMCA,
summer (10 weeks) , Thur 9:00am - 10:00am
The instructor will take you on a different outdoor ride each week to challenge you in a group setting. Bring along your bike and enjoy the great outdoors. Helmets are required. Participants should meet at the Sheboygan Falls YMCA.

Pilates
Sheboygan YMCA below, summer (10 weeks):
Tues 9:00am - 10:00am
Wed 5:30pm - 6:30pm
Thur 9:00am - 10:00am
focuses on core strength and using your body’s power center, concentrating on the quality of movement, not the quantity.Members only may register and pay for one class and drop in to as many Pilates classes a week as they’d like. Registration is based on availability and is on a week to week basis.

Tai Chi
Sheboygan YMCA, summer (10 weeks), Wed 9:15am - 10:15am
Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient Chinese traditional exercise which combines fitness, meditation and a martial art. It is widely practiced throughout the world, especially in the Orient. The benefits include improvement in cardiovascular function, balance, flexibility and muscle tone. It is also believed to promote longevity. Class meets in the Yoga Room.

Yoga poses are performed with a certified instructor in a continuous series. This aerobic form of exercise will build strength, balance, flexibility and sense of well being.

In Motion” walking program
Sheboygan YMCA, summer (10 weeks) Tues & Thur 12:15pm - 12:45pm
This outdoor walking program incorporates a variety of walking routines that will help you build endurance, speed and burn calories. All participants will receive a pedometer and log book to track progress.

Lakeshore Striders
Sheboygan YMCA,
The Lakeshore Striders is a new component of the Sheboygan YMCA. It is designed to help walkers, runners and triathletes meet their goals, work out and train with other people in a supportive environment.

Activities include a youth running club, walking club, training programs for the Danskin Triathalon and Lakefront Marathon and personal trainings to help you meet your goals.

Walk Across America
Sheboygan YMCA,
Join us for our new incentive program, Walk Across America. Record your cardio minutes as you “travel” across this great country of ours. Free seminars will be offered once a month.
